Maxwell’s Heartland is pleased to offer you a fantastic and enjoyable day out visiting Scotland’s most important castle and one of its finest whisky distilleries.
Leaving the centre of Glasgow we head towards STIRLING CASTLE which was home to Scottish Kings and Queens from the 12th century.
Our 2 hour stop gives you time to explore the castle’s long and varied history.
From the top of the castle take in the views of the Wallace monument and imagine what it was like over 700 years ago as Scotland fought for her independence.
Lunch is taken in the heart of the Trossachs at Loch Katrine. |
Taste fresh local produce and maybe walk it off with a stroll by the loch side or relax on the terrace sampling a local beer whilst taking in the stunning views of Loch Katrine and the Trossachs. Short cruises on Loch Katrine are also available throughout the year.
Afterwards, relax as we drive over the old drover’s road called THE DUKE’S PASS enjoying some of the beautiful views of the TROSSACHS Lochs and Mountains.
Onwards now to the GLENGOYNE SINGLE MALT WHISKY DISTILLERY, regarded as Scotland’s most beautiful whisky distillery. |
